The fraternity and sorority community at University of Delaware encompasses approximately 4,515 students (25.6% of undergraduate students) through 48 groups which are currently organized into four over arching communities: The Interfraternity Council (IFC), Multicultural Greek Congress (MGC), The Panhellenic Council (Panhel), and Special Interest Greek Council (SIGC). The community is guided by the principles of Brotherhood/Sisterhood & Community, Character, Diversity, Academics, Leadership, and Service. Academic success is indeed a pillar of the community as evidenced by the all fraternity and sorority GPA (3.235) being higher than the all undergraduate GPA (3.131).
