It Is a Tree of Life To Those Who Uphold It. Proverbs 3: 16-18 Temple Israel’s new Tree of Life is a gift from Dr. Ronald Avis in honor of the Avis Family. It was designed to complement the original sculpture installed on the north wall of our lobby. The branches of each of the trees form the Hebrew words “Etz Chaim”. The stones, which will surround the roots of the Tree, are symbolic of the Twelve Tribes of Israel. The golden leaves and stones may be inscribed to highlight or commemorate such joyous events as births, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, or to honor parents, family, or friends. Share the joy by inscribing your “simchas” on our synagogue’s new Tree of Life….a permanent dedication to the meaningful, happy events that touch our lives.
