The Minister for Mines and Petroleum, Bill Marmion, announced that 48 applicants were offered $5.17 million in Round 12 of the Co-funded Exploration Drilling program for projects to be drilled KUNUNURRA in 2016. Mr Marmion said the scheme was helping to underwrite Western Australia’s continued 30 17 prosperity. KIMBERLEY 27 29 ‘This is an important investment in the State’s future, particularly in the challenging financial environment faced by exploration companies. Heading into its eighth year, this highly competitive drilling program has resulted in major discoveries, with more being made every year,’ Mr Marmion said.
