Leadership Talk (L0003) Envisioning Your Role in Leadership Speaker: Prof. Frederick Ma Si Hang, GBS, JP Have you prepared to face the globalization in the ever changing world? To inspire you in preparing yourself to be a global citizen and a leader of the next generation, we are honoured to have Prof. Frederick Ma Si Hang to share his advices in our upcoming leadership thematic talk. Prof. Ma is going to share with you his insights on leadership for roles of gifted young people in the competitive global environment as well as the qualities that the next generation leaders should have. Mr. Frederick Ma Si Hang, GBS, JP graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in economics and history. Mr Ma has held senior management positions in international financial institutions and Hong Kong publicly listed companies in his career. In July 2002, he left the private sector and joined the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury and assumed the post of Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development in July 2007. He resigned from the Government in July 2008 due to medical reasons. In October 2008, he was appointed as an Honorary Professor of the School of Economics and Finance at the University of Hong Kong. In July 2009, he was appointed as a Member of the International Advisory Council of China Investment Corporation. At present, he is the Chairman and non-executive director of China Strategic Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong listed company. He is also a director of Husky Energy Inc. and an independent non-executive Director of China Resources Land Ltd.
