Transport Department Notice Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Central Notice is hereby given that, to facilitate the holding of an event, the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on 26 August 2018 (Sunday): I. Special Traffic Arrangements (i) Road Closure From 12.01 am to 3.00 am The section of Chater Road between Pedder Street and Ice House Street. From 3.01 am to 7.00 am (a) The section of Chater Road between Pedder Street and Jackson Road; and (b) The section of Ice House Street between Des Voeux Road Central and Connaught Road Central. (ii) Traffic Diversion From 12.01 am to 3.00 am Affected vehicles on Pedder Street or Des Voeux Road Central eastbound heading for Chater Road will be diverted via Pedder Street, Connaught Road Central eastbound, Cotton Tree Drive southbound, Queensway westbound, Queen’s Road Central and Ice House Street. From 3.01 am to 7.00 am Affected vehicles on Pedder Street or Des Voeux Road Central eastbound heading for Murray Road will be diverted via Pedder Street, Connaught Road Central eastbound, Cotton Tree Drive southbound and Lambeth Walk. II. Public Transport Arrangements The following bus route diversion and suspended bus stop arrangements will be implemented: Route Direction Route Diversion Suspended Bus Stop 1 Happy Valley (Upper) After Des Voeux Road Central, 5B Causeway Bay divert to operate via Queensway Statue Square, 10 North Point Ferry Piers before resuming their original Chater Road routeings. 12A Admiralty (Tamar Street) After Queen’s Road Central, divert 1. Chater House, to operate via Pedder Street, Chater Road Connaught Road Central, Harcourt Road, Cotton Tree Drive slip road 2. Statue Square, and Queensway before resuming its Chater Road original normal routeing. Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on site to guide motorists. The public transport operators will display notices to advise passengers on the above temporary public transport arrangements. Actual implementation of and adjustments to road closures, traffic control and public transport arrangements will be made by the Police at the time depending on conditions in the areas.
