They include songs, stories and rhymes and are a chance to spend some quality time with your little one and meet with other parents in your local area. Sessions help to build up your child’s confidence and social skills, giving their speech and language development a real boost. There is no need to book. Bookbug is part of Scottish Book Trust, the leading agency for the promotion of literature, reading and writing in Scotland and aims to encourage parents and children to share and enjoy books together. Your specially trained Family Nurse will help you understand all about your pregnancy and how to care for yourself and your baby, helping you support your baby to grow, develop and learn.
