Last year’s rebel Women’s Big Bash League season was amazing. Record breaking crowds, a full home and away fixture and new broadcast partners… and what about the finals!? The Semi-Finals and The Final were all matches that we won’t forget! The good news is, it’s about to get even better. It starts with a standalone season, which reinforces the WBBL as THE the best domestic women’s cricket competition in the world. The League aligned to the KFC Big Bash League, with Australian’s top female cricketers and overseas stars signed to the eight existing Big Bash franchises in Australia’s major capital cities. With the support of rebel and Commonwealth Bank, the League has gone from strength to strength year-on-year, and has smashed boundaries in its efforts to: • Hero the status of our female cricketers; • Expose the game of cricket to new audiences; • Encourage participation to all ages at local cricket clubs and schools programs; THIS WEEKEND’S • Solidify the standing of our Australian Women’s Cricket Team as the number one team in the world in the T20 International FIXTURE format; and • Be the BEST on field and off field product in the world of women’s cricket.
