Summary: Are you looking to joining a team of go-getters dedicated to serving and uplifting the community? Join the Detroit Pistons team and our mission! As Director of Marketing Operations, you will be responsible for the development and execution of advertising media and promotions plans to drive fan engagement and sales for the Detroit Pistons. You will also be responsible for all fan facing activations in the community and at Little Caesars Arena during Pistons events. What you’ll be doing: • Develop, create, and execute monthly advertising media plans that build brand and drive tickets sales across all platforms including, Detroit Pistons, Pistons Academy (Jr. NBA), Pistons Merchandise, Pistons Dish, Motor City Rivals and Motor City Cruise • Handle advertising and promotions budget • Coordinate and manage the relationship with the Pistons flagship TV and radio partners • Collaborate to develop theme nights and giveaways for each Detroit Pistons season and the strategies to promote in-market • Lead and execute the development of a yearlong activation plan throughout the state of Michigan to grow and enhance the Detroit Pistons brand • Own the trafficking of inventory for all the Detroit Pistons media plans across multiple advertising mediums – Digital, TV, Radio, OOH, and in arena/IPTV system • Write copy for radio and in-arena promotions • Use data in marketing decisions • Support revenue team acquisition, new business and renewal strategic campaigns • Establish new target audiences for marketing campaigns • Supervise revenue campaign critical metrics • Handle all Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter paid advertising to support ticket and retail sales • Manage SEM and programmatic ad campaigns for ticket sales and retail sales What we’re looking for: • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or related field • 5-7 years of experience in media buying, planning and promotions is preferred • Solid understanding of the digital advertising space • Ability to interpret data to drive marketing insights • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization. • Exhibits strong organizational skills and time management with the ability to effectively coordinate and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment. • Has a positive and upbeat attitude. • Self-motivated and innovative and is inquisitive by nature a proactive attitude. • Sophisticated MS Office skills – Excel, PowerPoint, etc. .
