This original script, written by executive producers Steve Brown and Michael Ullstrup, is this season’s premiere program. The program will be produced before a studio audience at Room 120 of Gateway’s Center for Bioscience and Information Technology on the Kenosha Campus, 3520-30th Ave. Audience members are welcome and admission is free. Produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions, “The Flintstones” was about a working-class Stone-Age man’s life with his family and his next-door neighbor and best friend, Barney Rubble and his wife, Betty. “The Jetsons” was a prime-time animated sitcom also produced by Hanna-Barbera, originally airing from 1962-1963 and again from 1985-1987. It was Hanna-Barbera’s Space Age counterpart to “The Flintstones,” a half-hour family sitcom projecting contemporary American culture and lifestyle into another time period. “While the Flintstones live in a world with machines powered by birds and dinosaurs, the Jetsons lived in a futuristic utopia in the year 2062 of elaborate robotic contraptions, aliens, holograms and whimsical inventions,” said co- executive producer and co-writer, Mike Ullstrup. “We bring most of that to our audience in our live production of these cartoon shows on the radio.” Stars from the 91.1 Players will bring these lovable animated characters to life: Terry Lawler (Fred Flinstone), Viki DuMez (Wilma Flinstone and Pebbles), Bill Isley (George Jetson), Kathy Zuhlke (Jane Jetson and Betty Rubble), Rene Thomas (Judy Jetson), Evan Zuhlke (Elroy Jetson and Bamm-Bamm), Gary Stamm (Astro the Dog and Barney Rubble), Mary Isley (Rosie the Robot), John O’Lesky (Mr. Spacely and Mr. Slate), Siegfried Christoph (Spencer Cogswell), Don Jensen (Host and Narrator). The show’s director is Don Jensen. For more information, contact Steve Brown at (262) 564-3882.
