Hanover moved to California several years ago to be near her daughter Nancy. When she left Chi- cago ten years ago, the Chicago LGBT community held a large send-off for her at Star Gaze bar. The funeral service for Hanover was Jan. 9 at Congregation Or Chadash, followed by interment Wunders Cemetery.
