For those of you who couldn’t make the St Albans Festival of Film last March we have put the wonderful interview with dear Craig Douglas on the air for your enjoyment on Thurs 5th Sept 19 at 10:25am. The Stockport Festival of Film is now just weeks away – we can’t wait to meet so many of you who will be joining us for a fun, full day and thank you to all of you who are making very long journeys to be there with us. I have finally convinced Noel to start sharing some of his memories of working in the industry for 50 something years, the series starts with part one, his first day at Rank, on page 8, we hope you enjoy his reminiscences as much as we do. The wonderful Patricia Dainton is a dear friend and great supporter and we have finally managed to license her favourite film The Dancing Years, currently screening on Talking Pictures TV, and also at a special price on DVD for you all, see page 19 for further details. There are lots of new DVD releases from The British Film Institute and Strawberry this month, meanwhile we are working hard behind the scenes on our Crime Collection Volume Five which will be released next month, with subtitles.
