Character Breakdown Charlie Brown Christmas Charlie Brown: Charlie Brown is characterized as a person who is usually nervous and lacks self-confidence. He shows both pessimistic and optimistic attitudes: on some days, he is reluctant to go out because his day might just be spoiled, but on others, he hopes for the best and tries as much as he can to accomplish things. Snoopy: Charlie Brown’s pet beagle; a genuinely happy dog; full of energy, imagination and sass; known for his “happy dance” and his numerous alter-egos; a physical, more than speaking role. Lucy: Linus’s older sister; bossy and a know-it-all, but very smart and a natural leader; has a crush on Schroeder; is ready to be older than her age; interests include psychiatry and real estate; has a large emotional range that can change at a moment's notice. Linus:Charlie Brown’s blanket-toting best friend; Lucy's younger brother; Sally’s love interest; an intellectual, a philosopher, a theologian. Sally: The youngest of the group; Charlie Brown’s little sister who has a crush on Linus; is adorable and spunky but often overreacts to situations. Schroeder: A very talented musician, who is obsessed with the music of Beethoven; Lucy’s love interest; Charlie Brown’s second-best friend after Linus. Pig Pen: Known for attracting dust, making him very filthy but with a good heart. Frieda:The girl who brags about her “naturally curly hair”; a total diva. Violet:Lucy and Patty’s best friend; snobby with an edge. Patty: Best friend to Lucy and Violet; sometimes bullies the others. Shermy: A friend of Charlie Brown’s. Very dry; bemoans that he has to play a shepherd in the play every year. Ensemble .
