Clutches(eggmasses)werelaidinthedeeperpartsofthelake,onsubmergedvegetation.Theclutchescontainedbetween446and 492eggs.Thefirstlarvaehatched5daysafterthespawning.Theycompletedtheirmetamorphosisin31-35daysandthenemerged onland.Afterthefirst(2001)breedingseason,non-metamorphosedhibernatinglarvaewereseenduringthewinterandspring months.
