READ Jeremiah 15:15-18 Jeremiah 14:7-9 & 19-22 Jeremiah 15:19-21 ASK What was Jeremiah’s lament, or why did he feel God was not there for him, in Jer. 15:15- 18? What was the context of that specific complaint, or why did he feel God was not there for the people? (Read all of Jer. 14 & 15) What was Jeremiah’s request? How did God respond? Although God’s intent did not change as a result of Jeremiah’s pleas, how did He respond to Jeremiah’s personal plea (Jer. 15:19-21)? Is it right to take God’s promises to Jeremiah (or Judah) as a promise to you? (hint: No) What then can we learn about God and about mankind from this passage? Have you consistently prayed for something or someone and not seen the results you hoped for? How did it affect your prayer times or Bible study? What are some things you can do when you feel like God is not for you or you are mad at Him? PRAY.
