His 15 seeded Hornets trailed by just four points at the half and by 2006-07 Delaware State 20-13 six with eight minutes left to the heavily favored Commodores. 2007-08 Delaware State 18-14 2008-09 Delaware State 11-11 th Now in his 17 season as a collegiate head coach, Davis surpassed the 300-win mark for his career and became Delaware State’s all-time leader in women’s basketball victories during the Career record: 323-165 (17th year) 2007-08 season. He owns a career record of 312-154, highlighted by nine seasons with 20-or- DSU record: 152-111 (Ninth year) more wins. At Bowie State: 171-54 (8 yrs.) He led the team to a school-record 23 straight home wins from 2003-05. NCAA Tournament: 0-1 In addition, the 2007-08 Lady Hornets led the MEAC in scoring defense for the sixth straight Davis vs. 2008-09 opponents year, allowing 53.4 points-per-game. Bethune-Cookman 15-1 During the 2006-07 season, Davis led the Lady Hornets on a 13-2 late-season spurt, including a three-game MEAC Tournament sweep en route to the first league championship in team his- Cheney 6-0 tory. Coppin State 6-11 He was named MEAC Coach-of-the-Year after leading the Lady Hornets to a share of the Fairleigh Dickinson 1-1 school’s first conference regular season title during the 2003-04 season.
