Better Days Ahead (4/17/21) John Pizzarelli’s new album “Better Days Ahead (Solo Guitar Takes on Pat Metheny)” was just released, on April 16. On it, he decontructs the arrangements of songs by the Pat Metheny Group and adpts them to his solo, seven-string guitar. This week John & Jessica talk about the album and play two previously unheard tracks, including the title song “Better Days Ahead,” which leads to talk of the better days that they are anticipating after the pandemic.
