The importance of nutrition for our bodies was also highlighted, as well as the advantages of growing your own vegetables The importance of knowing how to plant vegetables, knowing where are you going to plant them, the types of soils etc., seasonal preference of different vegetables and fertiliser requirements were all covered by the course We are now empowered Wellness Champions, and we are able to deal with wellness challenges in the chronic disease space, and we are able to educate our employees, families, communities etc. that a healthy lifestyle requires good nutrition, hygiene, exercise, stress management ,early treatment on infection as well as fatigue management The way forward is to implement what we have learned at the course for the benefit of the employees and the company •WELLNESS COMMITTEE TRAINING QUARTERLY BLOOD DRIVES WITH SANBS •CANCER SHAVATHON •MANDELA DAY •FAMILY DAY BREAST CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN •BREAST CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN •IN CLOSING Lets take our health very seriously Be your brother’s keeper Together we stand but divided we fall We are all players of this game, don’t play a person but play the ball for the benefit of all A sick workforce leads to poor production, whilst a healthy workforce leads to safe, good production Management are supporting the Wellness Committee, it is not a job for the Committee alone, and everyone is a game changer on this journey of health and safety for our employees and contractors Let us be champions of our health and be responsible for our own health!
