We will have a private tour of the bunker at the Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulpher Springs, West Virginia. During the cold war, the bunker was secretly built to house Congress in the event of a nuclear attack on our country. Although never used, the bunker was kept in a constant state of readiness and a well-guarded secret. Our tour will also highlight the Greenbrier Hotel. Following the tour, we will enjoy a lunch buffet at The Mason Jar, which is included in the fee of $88. We will depart at 6:30am from the Strasburg Food Lion as the first pick-up and stops going southward. Deadline to register is June 25. Spirit of Washington Lunch Cruise—October 11, 2012. Get a unique perspective of the Nation’s Capital with this lunch cruise aboard the Spirit of Washington, DC’s most festive and engaging dining cruise experience. It’s totally entertaining with up-close views of the Potomac River and Washington DC’s most historic sights. Fee for the trip is $86. We will depart at 7:45am from the Mt. Join us as we travel to beautiful Camden Yards to watch the Baltimore Orioles host the New York Yankees. Leaving Woodstock Lowes at 1:00pm, returning approximately midnight. June 5 2:00-3:00pm $3 Join Master Gardener Paula Brownlee as she shares information on growing a variety of favorite herbs in containers or the garden and easy ways to include herbs in your recipes, as well as preserving some of them at the end of summer. Canning Jams and Jellies: July 5, 2:00-4:00pm, $13 If you have thought about canning, but don’t know where to begin, join Karen Ridings in this canning demonstration and presentation.
