Cryptopsy is an influential extreme metal band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. For over 20 years, they have sculpted and pushed the boundaries of their metal genre by releasing seven studio albums (Blasphemy Made Flesh, None So Vile, Whisper Supremacy, And Then You’ll Beg, Once Was Not, The Unspoken King and CRYPTOPSY), a live album (None So Live), a best of (The Best of Us Bleed) and an EP (Ungentle Exhumation). After being on a record label for their entire career, Cryptopsy decided to go independent in 2012. Supported by their fans, Cryptopsy distributed and sold thousands of albums across the globe and had the opportunity to tour Japan, Western and Eastern Europe, the UK, South America, Scandinavia and Canada. Having toured relentlessly all over the globe with bands such as Dimmu Borgir, Vader, Suffocation, Candiria, Six Feet Under, Poison The Well, Nasum, Nile and many more, Cryptopsy are widely recognized as one of the most powerful live-performers within their scene. They were also a feature act on The Summer Slaughter Festival in 2008 performing alongside The Black Dahlia Murder, Kataklysm and The Faceless. They have since toured worldwide taking Europe by storm year after year including stops at some of the major summer festivals including multiple appearances at Wacken. Open Air. In 2012, Cryptopsy returned to their roots in order to craft their latest release entitled “Cryptopsy”. The band has said that “Cryptopsy” will be their most brutal, technical and dynamic offering as of yet. The album was distributed by Candlelight Records and caught the attention of extreme metal management company, Extreme Management Group, resulting in a signing with them in 2013. In 2014 the band supported death metal giants Suffocation on their South America tour, the first time Cryptopsy has toured this territory. They continue to bring their latest offering to the masses through continued touring including a headlining tour through North America in 2015, direct support to GWAR in Canada, along with support in North American to Extreme legends Cannibal Corpse in 2016. In 2015, rather than a full album, Cryptopsy will release the first instalment (Tome 1) of a series of EPs entitled The Book of Suffering. The band has said that The Book of Suffering Tome 1 is some of the most brutal, dark and technical music they have ever created. Now in 2016, Cryptopsy has started work on the New EP, Tome 2, this promises to be an exceptional show of Brutality! EU/ UK Booking: M.A.D.
