Gross Profit = Net sales - Cost of Sales 5. Net Profit = Gross Profit + Other Income – Other Expense Example: A Business made Sales of $300,000 during the year, Purchases of $150,000; Business has stock of $30,000 on 1 st Jan 2010 & $50,000 on 31 st Dec 2010. Business also incurred Electricity Expense of $2000 and carriage outward of $1000. Calculate Gross Profit, Net Profit & Cost of Sales?
