Body glabrous, often with claylike coating, or with dense, glabrous coating. Antenna with funicle of 6 articles; scape projected at least past anterior margin of eye; antennal club elongate. Pronotum longer than wide; disk often with elevated smooth lines or spaces. Elytra usually wider than pronotum, their tips separately rounded widely exposing pygidium. Metapisternum narrow. Tarsus with article 3 with ventral pilosity restricted to anterolate areas, median area largely glabrous, article 3 narrow, subequal in width to article 2 (many) or broad, wider than article 2 (few).
