‘Game of Thrones’ Premiere Episode Title and Description Revealed 04.07.2016 "Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again." That is the brief episode description for the Game of Thrones premiere, titled "The Red Woman" which airs on April 24. The title's reference to sorceress Melisandre leaves a lot of room for speculation as she heads back to Castle Black and Jon Snow's body. The episode is written by showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, and directed by Jeremy Podeswa, who led "Kill the Boy in season five, and "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken" in season six. HBO also offered a longer description of season six: "Following the shocking developments at the conclusion of season five, including Jon Snow's bloody fate at the hands of Castle Black mutineers, Daenerys' near-demise at the fighting pits of Meereen, and Cersei's public humiliation in the streets of King's Landing, survivors from all parts of Westeros and Essos regroup to press forward, inexorably, towards their uncertain individual fates. Familiar faces will forge new alliances to bolster their strategic chances at survival, while new characters will emerge to challenge the balance of power in the east, west, north and south." Most fans will have to wait two weeks to find out more, but HBO will screen the episode on Sunday April 10, at a private red-carpet premiere event at Mann's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
