Degrre College, Gandacherra(Estt in 2011) is located 117 km away from the capital town of Tripura under Dhalai district. The Panoramic beauty of the college is very charming surrounding by hillocks and the famous water reservoir known as “Dumbur lake”. In spite of being the remotest and geographically most backward place where 95% students are form ST/SC/OBC category and almost all of them are first generation learnres, the college is running with the mission of providing value and quality education and inculcate them among the all section of peoples with the appropriate skills, values and also commitment to create an atmosphere for them so that they can easily compete with the nationally and globally changing atmosphere for livelihood. With this mission the college is adopting various co-curriculum activities like NSS, Swach Bharat Abhiyan and conducting academic & social awarness programmes, workshops, seminers etc. The college has been following the syllabus of Tripura Univerity .The faculties are offered with the academic programme according to university norms and patterns. Degree College, Gandacherra, subject to the restriction of subject combination as laid down in Tripura University regulations. Candidates are required to submit self-attested copies of documents along with the application form duly filled in. Original documents are to be produced at the time of counseling and during the time of admission. Eligibility for Admission 1. From the academic session 2018-2019, Tripura University introduced Credit Based Six- Semester Degree Pogram of B.A (Honours and General). 2. A candidate opting TDPG Course for B.A Degree shall choose any three subjects for pass course besides Foundation Course. 3. Preference to admission will be given to fresh candidate passed in the current year (2018) followed by the candidates passed in 2017 and 2016 respectively depending on the availability of seats. 4. (i) For Honours subject a candidate must have obtained: (a) 40% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject in which he/she seeks honours, or (b) 35% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in the subject of H.S (+2) Examination, or (c) Any one securing at least 50% marks aggregate shall be eligible for taking Honours in a subject which he/she did not study in H.S (+2) Examination on its equivalents. (ii) Honours will be given on the basis of Total Score which shall be total marks (maximum 500 marks) plus marks of the Hons. Subject, provided all other conditions are satisfied. 5. A candidate who appeared but not obtained pass mark in any subject at the H.S (+2 Stage Examinatio will not be allowed to take up the subject in the Degree Course, nor can Honours be offered. 6. No student shall be allowed to prosecute two-full time course offered by the University simultaneously. 7. State Government Reservation Policy will be governing both for SC/ST for Honours and Pass subjects. 8. Incomplete application form(s) submitted will be rejected. 9. All admission will be provisional, subject to the fulfillment of conditions and rules of the college and university as well. 10. A student will be allowed to change one time elective Subject(s) within 15 days from the date of admission. 11. Choice of combinations, however, will be based on University/College Regulations. 12. There shall not be any marks bar for ST/SC students being admitted against ST/SC reserved seat/quota. 13. Student’s desires to take admission from waiting list, if any, will have to know their position from the college notice board everyday positively. 14.
