J.R Granites in Ayyampuzha Village, Aluva Taluk, Ernakulam District, Kerala, Extent - 1.0476 Ha FEASIBILITY STUDY CHAPTER I EXECUTIVE SUMMARY 1.1 GENERAL: Shri.C.C.Joseph, Managing Partner, M/S J.R.Granites is having a quarrying permit to extract Granite Building stone from an area of 0.9188 Ha of patta land in Re-survey Nos.206/13, 251/11, 206/21, 251/19, 251/4, 251/14, 251/13, 251/7-2, 251/12-2, 251/8, 251/12- 4, 251/7-3 and 251/12-3 in Block 19 of Ayyampuzha village, Aluva taluk, Ernakulam district, Kerala, vide letter No.64/15-16/MM/GS/CRPS/DOE/4422/E2/15 dated 19.11.2015 valid till 18.11.2016. (Refer Annexure – 1 of Approved Mine Plan) Now, he has applied for a quarry lease over an extent of 1.0476 Ha in survey Nos. 206/26/2(P), 206/10, 206/11, 206/13, 206/21(P), 206/22(P), 251/18/2(P), 251/19(P) and 206/20(P) in Block No. 19 of Ayyampuzha Village, Aluva Taluk, Ernakulam District, Kerala to the Department of Mining & Geology, Ernakulam. In this regard, a letter of Intent for the lease area of 1.0476 Ha is obtained from Department of Mining & Geology, Ernakulam vide DOE/2581/E2/15 dated 29.6.2015 (Refer Enclosure - 1). Mining Plan for Granite Building Stone quarry of M/S J.R granites for applied mine lease area of 1.0476 Ha at Survey nos. 206/26/2(P), 206/10, 206/11, 206/13, 206/21(P), 206/22(P), 251/18/2(P), 251/19(P) and 206/20(P) in Block No. 19 of Ayyampuzha Village, Aluva Taluk, Ernakulam District, Kerala for peak production of 20280 TPA is approved by District Geologist, Department of Mining and Geology, Ernakulam District vide letter no. DOE/4415/E2/15, dated on 16.11.2015. (Refer Enclosure - 2 for Mining plan approval letter). M/s. J.R Granites is a partnership firm and partnership deed was executed between C.C.Joseph and Rinto Thomas (Refer Annexure – 3 of Approved Mine plan for Partnership deed). This partnership firm is formed as per Indian Partnership Act and copy of Acknowledgment of Registration of this firm is attached in Annexure – 4 of Approved Mine plan. The entire lease area is private patta land and is in Lessee possession. The Land documents (sale deed copy) for all the survey nos mentioned in the proposal are given as Annexure – 5 of Approved Mine plan. NOC obtained from the other land owners is given as Annexure – 6 of Approved Mine plan. Proof of ownership such as Possession Certificate, Base Tax Receipt and Land Tax Receipt are given in Annexure – 7A - C of Approved Mine plan. Shri. C.C. As per MOEF&CC O.M.No.L-11011/47/2011-IA.II (M) dated 18th May, 2012, leases of minor minerals also requires environmental clearance. For getting environmental clearance, depending on the nature, magnitude and capacity, the projects are categorized as “A” Category & “B” Category. „A” category projects have to be cleared by MOEF while “B” category by the State Environmental Impact Assessment Agency (SEIAA)/ District Environmental Impact Assessment Agency (DEIAA). In this regard a certificate is obtained from Department of Mining and Geology, District of Ernakulam is given as Enclosure - 3. This feasibility report for Granite Building Stone Quarry of M/S. J.R Granites over an Extent of 1.0476 Ha at Survey nos. 206/26/2(P), 206/10, 206/11, 206/13, 206/21(P), 206/22(P), 251/18/2(P), 251/19(P) and 206/20(P) in Block No. 19 of Ayyampuzha Village, Aluva Taluk, Ernakulam District, Kerala for proposed peak production of 20280 TPA is prepared towards getting environmental clearance from DEIAA, Ernakulam, Kerala. The nearest railway station is Angamali which is about 10 km away in the Southwest. The nearest airport is Cochin International Airport about 10 km in the Southwest direction.
