TO CUREANNUAL REPORT 2002 Throughout this Annual Report, you will find pictures of some of our family members, each of whom represents thousands of others, all working in different ways to make the Society’s goals a reality. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is a family of volunteers, researchers and staff, dedicated to advancing a common mission: To cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Closer to Cures Our family has a very personal reason for caring about finding cures for blood cancers. We lost a child to leukemia, and nothing can ever compensate for that loss. It is our wish that other families be spared that pain. Over more than 20 years, I’ve seen the Society make strides toward a day when our wish becomes reality. Through Norbert J.
