Hitachi Zosen to Build Stoker Type Waste Incinerator Facility at Nanchong City in China

January 25, 2011 Hitachi Zosen Corporation Hitachi Zosen to build stoker type waste incinerator facility at Nanchong City in China Hitachi Zosen Corporation has been engaged to build a stoker type waste incinerator facility with capacity of 800 tons per day (two 400 t/day incinerators) on behalf of CAGT Engineering (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (Beijing City). The facility is part of the waste power generation plant currently under construction by CAGT Engineering (Beijing) Co., Ltd. at Nanchong city in Sichuan Province. Hitachi Zosen will supply design services and key equipment such as fire grates, as well as technical services including on-site engineers to supervise the installation process. The latest order brings to eight the number of stoker type waste incineration facilities installed by the Company in China, and the fourth for the current fiscal year following orders in Dalian City (three incinerators (500 t/day) for 1,500 t/day), Shanghai City (four incinerators (750 t/day) for 3,000 t/day) and Tianjin City (two incinerators (500 t/day) for 1,000 t/day). Hitachi Zosen has received 21 overseas orders for stoker type waste incinerator installations this year alone. Two years ago, Hitachi Zosen provided a waste incineration facility for the municipal solid waste incineration plant with power generation (three incinerators (400 t/day) for 1,200 t/day) at Chengdu City, which now operates successfully as a pilot plant. Hitachi Zosen boasts an extensive track record in China and has also supplied municipal solid waste incineration plants to nearly 200 in Japan and around the world. Hitachi Zosen is aggressively targeting overseas markets for municipal solid waste incineration plants, particularly in China, South Korea, Taiwan and elsewhere in Asia. To this end, the Company last year acquired AE&E Inova AG in Switzerland, one of Europe’s largest municipal solid waste incinerator manufacturers, as part of a program of global expansion. Municipal solid waste incineration plants with power generation are seen as a promising renewable energy source, and demand for these facilities is on the increase. Hitachi Zosen is committed to meeting rising global demand for municipal solid waste incineration plants featuring world-class technology developed both within and outside Japan. The following is a summary of this project. 1. Client: CAGT Engineering (Beijing) Co., Ltd. 2. Location: Lidu Town, Jialing District, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province 3. Plant Capacity: 2 stoker type waste incinerators (400 t/day) for 800 t/day 4. Delivery: End of May 2012 (equipment on site by late November 2011) .
