Your remarks set the stage for making the symposium a success. During the symposium's panel discussion, your perspectives further enlightened the participants about the requirements for successful applications of expert systems and stimulated recognition of opportunities for increased productivity in government. The 350 symposium participants from over 85 federal agencies gave you and all the speakers very high marks in your presentations. In written comments, one participant stated: "Every speaker was extremely knowledgeable and had informative presentations. Another commenter stated: "The relationships to real world applications and issues was helpful. The presentation sequence was good also—it developed the topic logically and clearly." One comment summed up the feelings of the participants, "Thanks for providing us with this important symposium." Again, thank you for addressing the symposium Sincerely yours, JR., ■ ■ r BURTON, California JR., LaTOURETTE,.
