Bam and Ifc Announce Lineup for May Installment of Monthly Comedy Event

MEDIA ALERT: BAM AND IFC ANNOUNCE LINEUP FOR MAY INSTALLMENT OF MONTHLY COMEDY EVENT BROOKLYN & NEW YORK, NY/April 24, 2013—BAM and IFC announce the May installment of Get It Out There: Comedy by BAM & IFC, the monthly comedy showcase that encourages comics to experiment recklessly with humor by testing out fresh material and probing the depths of their twisted souls for new forms of funny. Recent guests have included Sarah Silverman, Colin Quinn, Judah Friedlander, and Jon Glaser, with surprise guests dropping in at several events. Get It Out There returns Thursday, May 9 at 9pm (bar opens at 8pm) in BAMcafé (30 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn, NY) and is free and open to the public. This month’s event will feature Ben Kronberg (Comedy Central’s The Half Hour), Jamie Lee (NBC’s Last Comic Standing, MTV’s Girl Code), and Seaton Smith (NBC’s The John Mulaney Show), with two other comics to be announced. Curated by Caroline Creaghead (Creaghead & Company), the night will be hosted by Jim Tews (HBO web series The Opener, blogger for MTV’s Guy Code).
