One solution was to 'support minorities by repeating their idea' and suggested giving credit to the student until the idea was acknowledged by the tutor. People in 'positions of privilege' were also advised to monitor 'how much you are talking in relation to others'. Students were advised to question themselves when they felt the desire to speak in a tutorial as to why they wanted to contribute. 'Is it to self-aggrandise or to learn and contribute,' the report asked, and suggested some questions could be left until after class.
