It took three tries for her to achieve her goal. First, she saw angels. Then she saw Jesus but did not recognize Him. Finally, He called her name and she saw Him. My prayer is for clarity and power as we “LOOK AGAIN” Through all the challenges and confusion of 2020, God has been with us. The Enemy tried to scatter our people but the Spirit used the World Wide Web to keep us connected. The Enemy tried to stop the flow of finances but God provided through the innovative generosity of our faithful people. The Enemy tried to take our health but God has keep us safe or healed us as needed. Our Lord never looked away. As the old song says, “His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me (us)!” As we “LOOK AGAIN” we will see His faithfulness in every part of our lives. 2019 was another banner year for Peninsular Florida. You will read the departmental reports in this document. You will be able to review and study the Financial Report in its own format, as always. It is my joy to celebrate the highlights in my report. Then, the details will be in the departmental reports. God bless you all. Indeed, the Enemy has tried every way possible to stop and defeat us in 2020. But here we stand, mighty and victorious in the name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. We are thankful to God. Finances God continues to prosper our District. We led the Assemblies of God in World Missions giving again and BGMC. Speed The Light ranked in the top five of the General Council at $418,636.18. We are appreciative to the District Treasurer Wayne Blackburn, Chief Financial Officer Greg Rodden, and the Finance Committee for their good work. You have been faithful in tithes and offerings. Minister’s tithes totaled $2,787,677.82 and our financial assets continue to be strong. World Missions Peninsular Florida holds the Great Commission tightly. Our World Missions giving was more than 13 Million in 2019. PFDC giving to both AGWM and USMissions combined exceeded 19 million dollars. Thanks to Tom Manning, our Assistant Presbyters, and all Pastors and Missions Directors for moving the bar of missions support up another notch. Peninsular Florida Missions Scott Young and his team lead us toward new church plants every month. The new concept of PAC (Parent Affiliated Churches) is producing stronger church plants with larger and healthier initial congregations. Youth Ministries Casey Casal saw record numbers of campers last summer enjoy a true Pentecostal revival atmosphere. Our teens are experiencing genuine moves of the Holy Spirit in services, missions trips, and in our local church youth meetings. I am grateful to all PFDC Youth Pastors and leaders. They are doing a great job. The PFYouth Fine Arts Festival remains one of the largest and finest in the Assemblies of God. Our young people are developing talent and calling for ministry now and in the future. Women’s Ministries THRIVE is more than the name of our annual PFWomen’s convention. It is the description of the philosophy of Deanna Shrodes and all the Women’s Ministry team. Deanna moved Thrive into the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach and had a remarkable revival event. Her leadership training happens at STRONGER and makes our ladies stronger, indeed. Preaching, touring, taking missions trips, and encouraging women around our district, Deanna is constantly accomplishing records for the women of Peninsular Flori- da. Girls Ministries Bonnie Pait trains female leaders for the next generation. The Powette is the largest girl’s meeting in the Assemblies of God with more than 1,000 girls encountering the Spirit. PF Girls Ministries is advancing at a record rate and we commend their effort. Our girls are number 1 in the nation in GM giving to BGMC! 3 Credentialed Women Presbyter Susan Pippin oversees an increasing population of Women in Ministry in Peninsular Florida. Her communications, con- tacts, and leadership support the reputation of PFDC as the place for Women in Ministry in the Assemblies of God. Men’s Ministries John Hensel and the MM Sectional Representatives give energy and advance to the ministry to men, Dads, missions for men, work for men, and ministry opportunities for men. The MoMENtum conference inspires and trains men. They have stepped up to lend assistance after hurricanes, in building repair, and soulwinning. I am grateful for the growth and forward progress. Royal Rangers Peninsular Florida has had a strong Royal Ranger program for decades. District Commander Doug Moon continues the tradition. Our Pow Wow is one of the largest in the nation. More importantly, hundreds of boys and men receive Christ as their Lord and Savior every year at the altars at Pow Wow, and scores receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Our Rangers are number one in RR -BGMC giving in the nation! Christian Education Steve Powell is leading constant improvement and progress in every area of CE and discipleship ministries. The annual Experience Conference is one of the largest church ministries conferences in the Fellowship. BGMC has led the Fellowship for most of the last decade. PFDC DSOM is training future ministers and credential holders on a monthly schedule. Our District always has large cre- dential classes and Steve Powell, Yohanna Irizarry, and Natalee Smith give excellent leadership to every new applicant in every step of the process. League of Christian Schools Michael Burroughs has established the LCS to be a fully accredited, and accreditation granting, service ministry to our church schools and day cares. LCS holds the “gold standard” for our teachers and schools, making ours leading schools in many communi- ties. The LCS convention in November attracts delegates from all over the nation and a few foreign countries. Adult Ministries After everything else, we do not forget our older individuals. Ken Pippin has brought new life and power to this work. His vision for men and women to “Finish Strong” for God has inspired new participation, giving, and work for this group. He and Susan travel to our churches encouraging older adults to give of themselves to teens, children, and young adults, sharing life experience, wis- dom, and knowledge. That is causing new hope for many underprivileged children and youth. God is blessing in a wonderful way. And, of course, you – our presbyters and pastors and ministers and churches – are the engine of everything that happens in the District. I thank God for all of you and pray His best for you, your families, and congregations.
