INTRODUCTION This appendix presents the results of the appraisal of heritage assets potentially subject to loss of significance as a result of change to setting caused by the proposed development discussed in Section 8.7 of Volume 5, Document 5.2. This appraisal considered all designated heritage assets within the study area defined at the Connection Options Report (COR) stage (see Chapter 2 of Volume 5, Document 5.2). Where the potential for harm to significance to arise as a result of change to setting, the relevant heritage asset(s) has been considered at Section 8.10 of Volume 5, Document 5.2. For ease of reference, the results are presented by route sections A to D, and assets and asset groups considered in detail in the ES are presented first. The nature of change to settings means that the results of this appraisal are a matter of professional judgement, although in this case, the proposed scope of assessment set out at scoping has been modified in the light of consultation responses from the relevant prescribed consultees and the public. These consultations are detailed at Section 8.4 of Volume 5, Document 5.2.
