FOX 50’s Official Idol Audition 2015 Guidelines & Registration Form ALL FORMS MUST BE FILLED OUT COMPLETELY AND TRUTHFULLY. IF YOU GIVE ANY FALSE INFORMATION, FAIL TO COMPLETE ANY FORM, OR FAIL TO REVEAL ANY PERTINENT INFORMATION, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE AUDITION PROCESS. To audition you MUST be: A legal U.S. citizen or a permanent U.S. resident who is eligible to work full-time in the U.S. and a resident of one of these North Carolina counties: Chatham, Cumberland, Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Halifax, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Lee, Moore, Nash, Northampton, Orange, Person, Sampson, Vance, Wake, Warren, Wayne or Wilson. 15 to 28 years old (which means you must be born on or between June 2, 1986 and June 1, 2000). If you were born before or after this, you are not eligible to audition. You CANNOT audition if: You have won any previous FOX 50 AMERICAN IDOL audition contest. You progressed in any previous season of AMERICAN IDOL to any of these levels: Season 1 – top 30 contestants, Season 2 – top 32 contestants, Season 3 – top 36 contestants, Season 4 – top 44 contestants, Season 5 – top 44 contestants, Season 6 – top 40 contestants, Season 7 – top 24 contestants, Season 8 – top 36 contestants, Season 9 – top 24 contestants, Season 10 – top 24 contestants, Season 11 – top 25 contestants, Season 12 – top 10 contestants or appeared on the Idol Tour, Season 13 - top 10 contestants or appeared on the Idol Tour or Season 14 - top 10 contestants or appeared on the Idol Tour. You have any of the following agreements in effect (written or oral): a current music recording contract a current agreement relating to the use of your name, voice and/or likeness; an exclusive acting contract; or any other contractual arrangement that, in Producer’s sole discretion, would prohibit you from fully participating in the show and/or entering into any contracts required by Producer, including, but not limited to, an exclusive recording contract or merchandising contract. If Producer invites you to participate in the national competition (currently scheduled to begin October, November or December, 2015), and if you are party to a contract for talent representation (for example, a talent agent or manager), you MUST be able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of Producer the following: such contract commenced on or before April 1, 2015; the talent representative has signed a waiver of management or agency rights lasting the entire duration of your participation in the competition through and including the finale and extending to any subsequent publicity relating to the Program, your services for the American Idols Live Tour and, for management, any recording in connection with LP1 prize of the Program (if your talent representative is also your Parent/Guardian, the talent representative must still sign the waiver of management rights). Producer will provide you with the form waiver to be signed by your manager and/or agent. You or any of your immediate family members (spouse, ex-spouse, parents, siblings, children, step- children) or members of your household (whether or not related to you), are current employees, directors, officers, independent contractors, agents, or representatives of FOX 50 (WRAZ-TV, Inc.), Capitol Broadcasting Company, Inc., Mall Media Fund, Inc., CVM Holdings, LLC., Fox Broadcasting Company, Twenty-First Century Fox, Inc., Fox Entertainment Group, Inc.,Fox Networks Group, Inc., Fox Television Group, FremantleMedia North America, Inc., AMERICAN IDOLProductions, Inc., 19 Recordings, Inc., 19 Entertainment, Inc. , CORE Media Group Inc., and 19 TV Limited, their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, and the officers, directors, employees, licensees and assignees of each or any other person or entity connected with the production, administration or judging of the auditions or the Program; any television station or channel, cable network, or satellite network that may air or otherwise exhibit the Program or any variation thereof; any person or entity involved in the development, production, distribution, or other exploitation of the Program or any variation thereof; any sponsor of the Program (including, but not limited to Ford Motor Company) or its or their advertising agency; or any person or entity supplying services or prizes to the Program. Producer and/or Network reserves the right to remove from the Program any person (including you) Producer and/or Network determines, in Producer’s and/or Network’s sole discretion, is sufficiently connected with the Program or any of the entities described in this paragraph such that such person’s participation in the Program could create the appearance of impropriety. Conversely, Producer and/or Network reserves the right to allow any person to remain part of the Program who may have a connection with the Program or any of the entities described in this paragraph if, in Producer’s and/or Network’s sole discretion, Producer and/or Network determines that such person’s involvement in the Program does not and will not affect the integrity of the Program. What to bring to the Audition: Two (2) forms of Identification (I.D.) that prove your age and residence. At least one must be a photo I.D. Acceptable forms of identification are: valid driver’s license, valid state issued I.D. card, valid student I.D., valid military I.D., valid passport, current utility bill or lease in your name, current vehicle registration, pay stub, voter registration card and birth certificate. The attached FOX 50 Audition registration form completely, accurately & truthfully filled out. Forms will not be available at the auditions! National audition forms will not be accepted. If you are UNDER 18 years of age, you must bring two (2) forms of identification (I.D.) that prove your age and residence (see list above) AND you must be accompanied by your parent or legal guardian. Parent must bring their photo I.D. and proof of parenthood (for example, birth certificate). Legal guardian must bring their photo I.D. and proof of guardianship (for example, a court order).Legal guardian must be 21 years of age or older. Registration: Registration begins at 9:00am on the lower level inside Crabtree Valley Mall, 4325 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612 (in front of Macy’s) on Saturday, August 1, 2015. No one will be registered after 12:00pm (Noon). Even if you are in line by 9:00am there is no guarantee that you will get an audition. One audition per person. You will be assigned a number which must be presented at the time of audition. Keep the number you’re assigned at registration. Changing, or exchanging, numbers, with anyone, will disqualify all singers involved. You must be available when your number is called or you will be disqualified. NO LINES MAY FORM BEFORE 5:00am ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 1, 2015. NO CAMPING INSIDE OR OUTSIDE ALLOWED. NO WEAPONS, ALCOHOL, NO CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, PROFANITY, CUTTING LINE OR DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR WILL BE PERMITTED AT ANY AUDITION OR DURING THE COMPETITION. IF YOU WEAR CLOTHING WITH PROFANITY, PROMOTING VIOLENCE AND/OR ALCOHOL AND DRUGS, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO REMOVE IT, TURN IT INSIDE OUT OR COVER IT. FOX 50 (WRAZ-TV, Inc.) reserves the right to disqualify anyone for inappropriate behavior, as determined in FOX 50’s (WRAZ-TV, Inc.) sole discretion. Auditions: Be prepared to sing a song, or portion of a song, of your choice a cappella (without tracks or instruments). You may be stopped at any time during your song. All rules and procedures are subject to change at FOX 50’s (WRAZ-TV, Inc.’s) sole and absolute discretion to ensure the fair administration of the contest and compliance with applicable laws. A panel of judges will select ONE winner based on vocal quality and performance. Winner will be announced during the WRAL 7-9AM News on FOX 50 on MONDAY, August 3, 2015 and posted on www.FOX50.com shortly thereafter. Winner must meet all eligibility requirements. FOX 50 (WRAZ-TV) reserves the exclusive right to appoint judges and their decisions will be final. Dates and city are subject to change The Prize: One (1) winner will get a guaranteed audition with the producers of AMERICAN IDOL scheduled for August 23, 2015 in Little Rock, Arkansas, a meet-and-great with AMERICAN IDOL season 15 judges, round trip airfare for two (2) between Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and Little Rock, Arkansas and hotel accommodations for two (2) nights (hotel room based on double occupancy). Food, beverages, taxes, transportation to and from the airport and hotel and hotel and venue are not included. Any singer under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian 21 years or older. You are only guaranteed one (1) audition in front of an AMERICAN IDOL producer. You will be judged under the criteria listed in the official AMERICAN IDOL rules and will not receive preferential treatment for callbacks. Decisions for callbacks are made solely by the producers. Total ARV of each grand prize: $1,000. Prize may be considered income and taxes on the prize are the responsibility of the winner. Compliance with all regulations is the responsibility of the winner. Winner must complete a Request for Taxpayer Identification and a prize acknowledgement and release form. Grand prize must be claimed in full, in person, by actual winner by 5:00pm on August 7, 2015 or audition prizes will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be chosen.
