THEY ARE AT IT AGAIN! RE-INTRODUCING THE 'EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT. The first time it was introduced, it failed to be ratified by the 38 states within 7 years of having been passed in Congress. Now the abortion activists are trying to revive it by removing the deadline for ratification by the States. In its present form, the ERA poses very serious consequences, including requiring federal funding for abortion, overturning pro-life and conscience protection laws. Please notify your Congressperson and US Senators that you oppose the ratification of this Amendment, which would enshrine abortion in our Constitution, making it practically impossible for any state or court to overrule it. RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA COMING TO A STATE NEAR YOU! New York State lawmakers are very close to finalizing a deal with soon- to-be ex Gov. Cuomo to legalize marijuana for recreational purposes. Please go the NYSCatholicConference website and click on the link to notify our state legislators that you do not want this bill to be passed.
