The study resulted in the recording for the Turkish fauna of 14 species belonging to 3 genera (Agathis Latreille, 1804; Bassus Fabricius, 1804; and Disophrys Förster, 1862) within the subfamily Agathidinae. Agathis fischeri Zettel & Beyarslan, Agathis fulmeki Fischer, Agathis fuscipennis (Zetterstedt), Agathis glaucoptera Nees, Agathis lugubris (Förster), Agathis malvacearum Latreille, Agathis nigra Nees, Agathis varipes Thomson, Bassus linguarius (Nees), Bassus tumidulus (Nees), and Disophrys caesa (Klug) are recorded for the first time in the Central Anatolia Region and Bassus tegularis (Thomson) is a new record for the Turkish fauna. Key words: Agathidinae, Braconidae, fauna, Turkey, first record, Bassus tegularis The subfamily Agathidinae contains 1154 valid species In 1988–2008 data were collected on the distribution worldwide, divided into 46 genera. Of these, 86 species are of agathidines at 36 localities in the CAR. Specimens were distributed mainly in the West Palearctic and the majority collected using entomological nets in different habitats of them belong to the genera Agathis Latreille and Bassus of this region. The species were identified according to Fabricius (Yu et al., 2012). Agathidines are koinobiont Nixon (1986) and Simbolotti and van Achterberg (1992, endoparasitoids of lepidopteran larvae, attacking all 1999). GPS coordinates and altitudes of all localities were larval instars whether exposed or concealed. They may recorded. The list of all recorded localities, coordinates, and be gregarious or solitary, nocturnal or diurnal, and very altitudes can be found in the Table (for locality positions, see variable in size (Sharkey et al., 2009). the Figure). The specimens are deposited in the Zoological Data on the Agathidinae fauna of Turkey were reported Museum of the Department of Biology, Trakya University. mainly by Çetin and Beyarslan (2001), Çetin Erdoğan This study was a faunistic survey to determine the (2005, 2010, 2013, 2014), Çetin Erdoğan and Beyarslan distribution of biological diversity of the parasitic wasp (2004, 2006, 2009), Çetin Erdoğan et al. (2009), and Güçlü subfamily Agathidinae in the CAR of Turkey. In this and Özbek (2002). Thirty-nine species of agathidines region, 88 agathidine specimens were collected from 8 have been reported from the country, representing provinces. As a result of morphological diagnosis, 3 genera the Marmara, Aegean, East Anatolia, and East Black and 14 species were identified. The identified genera (with Sea Anatolia regions, with boreal and steppe elements. number of observed species) are Agathis Latreille (10), However, only one of these studies included some records Bassus Fabricius (3), and Disophrys Förster (1). Agathis had of agathidines from the Central Anatolia Region (CAR) the highest number of species observed in this survey. (Çetin Erdoğan et al., 2009). Taxonomy In this study, the species and geographical composition AGATHIDINAE of the agathidine fauna from the CAR, located in the Agathis Latreille, 1804 middle of Turkey, were investigated.
