GRAND RAPIDS CHARTER TOWNSHIP REGULAR TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING November 17,2015 A meeting of the Grand Rapids Charter Township Board was called to order at 7:00pm by Supervisor Michael DeVries. The meeting was held in the Township Hall. The following were present: Supervisor Michael DeVries, Clerk Edward Robinette, Treasurer David Van Dyke, Trustees Rusty Merchant, David Pierangeli, Robert Roth, and Lee Van Popering. There was one person in the audience. 1. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 2. BRIEF PUBLIC COMMENT. There was no public comment. 3. APPROVE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING OF NOVEMBER 3, 2015. Lee Van Popering, seconded by Rusty Merchant, moved approval of the minutes as presented. The motion passed unanimously. 4. CONSIDER BILLS TO BE PAID. Lee Van Popering, seconded by Rusty Merchant, moved approval of the bills as presented. The motion passed unanimously. 5. REED'S LAKE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT RENEWAL; PUBLIC HEARINGS I & IT; CONSIDERATION OF THE RESOLUTION TO RENEW. Lee Van Popering, seconded by Rusty Merchant, moved to open Public Hearing I. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE 2015 GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP BUDGET AMENDMENTS. Rusty Merchant, seconded by Lee Van Popering, moved approval of the 2015 Budget Amendments as presented. A roll call vote was taken. AYES: Robinette, Roth, Van Dyke, Van Popering, DeVries, Merchant, Pierangeli NAYS: None ABSENT: None The 2015 Grand Rapids Township Budget Amendments are approved. David Pierangeli, seconded by Lee Van Popering, moved to close the publ ic hearing. The motion passed unanimously. Lee Van Popering, seconded by David Van Dyke, moved to adopt the 2016 Grand Rapids Township Budget Resolution as presented. A roll call vote was taken. A YES: Roth, Van Dyke, Van Popering, De Vries, Pierangel i, Robinette NAYS: Merchant ABSENT: None The 2016 Grand Rapids Township Budget Resolution is declared adopted. 8. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE 2016 GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP DEPOSITORIES. Rusty Merchant, seconded by Lee Van Popering, moved approval of the depositories as presented. The motion passed unanimously. 9. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE PAYROLL SCHEDULE AND EMPLOYEE PAY RATES FOR 2016. Rusty Merchant, seconded by Lee Van Popering, moved approval of the payroll schedule and pay rates for 2016 as presented. The motion passed unanimously. 10. CONSIDER APPROVAL TO PAY INVOICES AS THEY ARE RECEIVED FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER 2015. Rusty Merchant, seconded by Lee Van Popering, moved approval of the request as presented. The motion passed unanimously. 11. CONSIDER CERTIFICATION OF DELINQUENT SEWERIW ATER BILLS TO THE 2015 WINTER TAX ROLL. Rusty Merchant, seconded by Lee Van Popering, moved to certify the delinquent bills presented to the 2015 Winter Tax Roll. The motion passed unanimously. 12. BOARD COMMENTS.
