Transmitter for Telecommunication Shelters

BD-1 Transmitter for Telecommunication Shelters The BD-1 transmitter is designed to monitor wall mounted self-contained air conditioning units used on mobile/ modular telecommunication shelters. Typically two air conditioning units are required in order to provide complete redundancy in the event of a failure. Utilizing the Notifact web site, the user assigns which individuals will receive messages regarding certain operating conditions. Delivery methods include pagers (alphanumeric, numeric), fax, e-mail, XML, PCS or telephone (voice delivery). Each message contains the condition which generated the transmission, and the make, model, and location of the equipment. The transmitter is powered by the equipment power source and constantly monitors alarm conditions, temperature limits, heat run time and cooling run time and cycles. When an input is out of range, the transceiver transmits the condition over the North American AMPS (Advanced Mobile Phone System). The transmission is received by Notifact and relayed to the selected message recipients by the configured delivery method. The transmitter’s battery backup enables the system to report an equipment power loss. Every 24 hours, the transmitter also transmits an equipment “heartbeat” to the user via the Notifact website. This information includes any alarm conditions that are still pending, combined heating run time for the past 24 hours and cooling run time for the past 24 hours. In addition, the “heartbeat” includes the battery and signal status of the transmitter. Notifact TM Model BD-1 Features ■ There are eight inputs. Four dry contact closures monitor high temperature limit, low temperature limit, and each units alarm output. Four AC inputs monitor total compressor run time for both units and heat run time for both units. ■ AC inputs accept from 24 to 240VAC, 3mA ■ Power to the transmitter can be from 85VAC to 240VAC ■ Each of the following conditions can generate a transmission: ➤ Loss of power for more than 15 minutes ➤ High ambient temperature in shelter ➤ Low ambient temperature in shelter ➤ Equipment in alarm condition ■ Every 24 hours a transmission is initiated by the transmitter which includes all the following information: ➤ Status of the unit ➤ Conditions still pending ➤ Heat run time ➤ Compressor run time ■ Display shows signal status at all times ■ Lockable NEMA-4 enclosure is suitable for mounting outdoors SPECIFICATIONS Typical Installation INPUT VOLTAGE 85 - 240 VAC POWER CONSUMPTION 15 VA BATTERY BACKUP 12 VDC Gell Cell OPERATING TEMPERATURE -40 to 140°F (-40 to 60°C) STORAGE TEMPERATURE -40 to 160°F (-40 to 70°C) ENCLOSURE TYPE: NEMA-4 suitable for outdoor mounting DIMENSIONS: 7-1/8" W x 9-5/8" H x 3-1/2" D (18 x 24.5 x 8.9 cm) MATERIAL: UV Resistant ABS Gray KNOCKOUTS: 3 bottom, 3 rear (1/2", 3/4" concentric) INPUTS 4 AC INPUTS 24-240 VAC 3mA 4 SWITCH Dry contact closures RADIO TRANSMIT 824.01 - 848.97 MHz RECEIVE 869.01 - 893.97 MHz OUTPUT 3 Watts ANTENNA 50 Ohms 20 New Dutch Lane Fairfield, NJ 07004 973-227-2900; FAX: 973-227-4202 www.notifact.com.
