Mari State University Summer School of Russian Language and Culture August 4-22, 2014 Mari State University is happy to announce the annual Summer School of Russian Language and Culture organized by the Faculty of History and Philology and the International Office of Mari State University. The Summer School will take place in Yoshkar-Ola, the capital of the Republic of Mari El, on August 4-22, 2014. You are welcome to apply and learn more about “great and mighty” Russian language. Come to study the Russian culture in the middle of the Russian mainland – the Republic of Mari El and you will be taught to speak, write and understand Russian, you will see inside everyday life of Russian people and admire unique Mari nature. Mari El preserved famous Volga region oak woods, pine forests; national parks and reserves such as Mariy Chodra and Bolshaya Kokshaga, very beautiful lakes, hundreds of springs and wells which flow into local rivers. You can visit the estate museum “Sheremetev castle” and many other architectural sites in Mari El. Kozmodemyansk is famous all over Russia with the A.V. Grigoriev historical and arts museum; there is also Ethnographic museum in the open air telling you about Mari culture. The capital of Mari El – Yoshkar-Ola, stands on the bank of the Malaya Kokshaga River. It is one of the most beautiful cities of the Volga region. Mari State University invites to enroll in the Summer Language School to the program “Russian Language in Ethnic and Cultural Environment of the Mari El Republic”. We invite students, postgraduates, lectors, professors, scientists and everyone who is interested in Russian language and culture. The tuition-fee in the Summer School of Russian Language and Culture is about 800$ and it depends on the quantity of students. Accommodation: the hostel of Mari State University.
