Ben’s footballing ability was made evident when he booted 10 goals on senior debut for Cobden Football Club at the age of 15. Ben captained for the Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup in 2009 and was selected to represent Vic Country during the National Championships. Bens standout carnival saw him selected in the U18 All-Australian side. This resulted in Ben being selected by the North Melbourne Football Club with the 5th pick in the 2009 NAB AFL Draft. Ben is a keen fisherman that loves getting back to his family farm in the off-season.
