The West Georgia Wolves have had a doozy of a road trip, not playing a game in the friendly confines of Grisham Stadium since the first game of the season on August 26. Since that time, the Wolves have traveled over 2600 miles, playing three different opponents with a combined record of 11-4 on the season. Last week, West Georgia's trip took them to Arkadelphia, AR, to take on the Henderson State Reddies. The Wolves mustered three field goals off of the foot of freshman kicker Casey Hale, but a late Reddie touchdown proved to be the game-winner, as HSU took the 16-9 victory. Against the Reddies, the Wolves faced a running quarterback in Garrett Manning, who rushed for 126 yards against West Georgia. In the Bison, UWG takes on the top running back in the Gulf South Conference in Kyle Wess. The HU back is averaging 117 yards per game on the ground on the season. The Wolves counter with a pair of running backs who are in the top-10 in the GSC in rushing. James Kinnebrew averages 77 yards per contest on the ground, followed by Adam Patrick at 55 Jonah Katende chases down Presbyterian’s yards per game. The duo give the Wolves a thunder and lightning quarterback in the Wolves’ first home game backfield, with Kinnebrew the lightning and Patrick the thunder. of the 2006 season. 2006 West Georgia Football Schedule/Results Day Date Opponent Time/Result TV Series Last Meeting/Notes Sat.
