You may call the Enhanced Reservations line at 800-266-9432, or click here to book online: https://resweb.passkey.com/Resweb.do?mode=welcome_ei_new&eventID=3377962 When you arrive, you may purchase tickets for the restaurant’s hot buffet breakfast for just $10 each, including tax & tip (regular price $16 plus tax/tip). If you need to cancel your reservation, be aware that if cancelled within 72 hours of arrival, you will be charged one night’s stay. Our block will be held until 1/25/2012, rates and rooms not guaranteed after this date. Check-in 4 p.m, check-out 12 noon. This is a non-smoking hotel. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, and there are restaurants surrounding the hotel and elsewhere in the area. In addition to the golf courses and dining/entertainment complex with its IMAX theater, the hotel is near ‘old city’ St Augustine and the outlet malls. A complimentary shuttle runs daily to the ‘old city.’ We are the hotel’s only ‘animal’ event of any kind, and it is a BEAUTIFUL site, so please take extra special care of it. Note that the hotel has agreed to accept CATS ONLY for our show – dogs may not be brought into the sleeping rooms or the showhall (service animals excepted). If you must bring a dog or other pet, please contact us and we will help you locate a boarding facility nearby. Please confine spraying males (and females!) & clean up after yourself and your cats so we will be welcome here again. TICA Hotel Guidelines will be followed. Please make every effort to leave your room in the condition it was found, or better. Tipping housekeeping staff doesn’t hurt – happy staff doesn’t complain to management! Trash bags & litter will be available for your convenience. If you need assistance, please let show management know and we will do whatever we can to help. The condition of your room reflects on the entire cat fancy, and it only takes one mishap to lose a hotel forever. Please also be respectful of the entire facility, including the public areas, hallways, restrooms and showhall, so that we may return to this beautiful site. ALTERNATE HOTEL: Comfort Suites at World Golf Village, 475 Commerce Lake Drive, St Augustine, Florida 32095. (Just the other side of I- 95 from the Renaissance) Due to high demand for rooms (Daytona 500 takes place Sunday), we have made arrangements with an alternate hotel. The Comfort Suites offers a rate of $110 with NO pet fee for 1 or 2 people ($10 per additional person), which includes a hot continental breakfast. Suite upgrades are available for an additional $10. Please call 904-940-9500 to reserve your room and mention the Florida Sun Cats group. Our block of rooms is being held until February 19th, 2012, however please book as soon as possible as THERE ARE NO OTHER HOTELS AT THIS EXIT, and hotels at other exits are likely to sell out as well. Once these rooms are gone, you may need to drive up to ½ hour to find a pet friendly hotel for the weekend. This is a non-smoking hotel. TICA Hotel Guidelines will be followed. TRANSPORTATION: Please fly into Jacksonville International Airport (JAX). Transportation between airport and show hotels is available for $20 each way. You must sign up on the summary sheet and provide your itinerary by the closing date of 2/21/2012 for this service. Taxis and car rentals are available at the airport (cab is about $90 each way). The showhall is about an hour from the airport, so please leave plenty of time for your departing flight (we recommend flights leaving 6:30 or later). The show hotel is easily accessed from I-95. SHOW HOURS: Friday’s Parade of Bengals will begin at 2 p.m., with check-in from 12 to 1:45 p.m. Congress judging will begin at 4 p.m and end by 10 p.m. Exhibitors not participating in On Safari events may check in beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday check-in will be from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. and judging will begin promptly at 9 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Advertised show hours will be 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Please plan to remain in the showhall during advertised show hours. We need our gate! SHOW RULES: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and show committee. Official show rules, registration information & forms may be obtained from TICA, P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551 or www.tica.org. PAYMENT: By entering the show, you agree to pay all fees whether you attend the show or not. Entry fees are NOT refundable or transferrable. Fees must be received no later than the closing date of 2/21/2012. The club reserves the right to require payment in cash or money order. Unfortunately, due to the irresponsible behavior of some exhibitors, we must require that all payments be received by the time the catalog is printed and NO PAYMENTS OF ANY KIND WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE DOOR. Entries belonging to exhibitors on TICA’s Temporary or Permanent Suspension lists will not be accepted. Florida Sun Cats will pursue any debt owed us to the extent of TICA show rules and Florida law. REGISTRATION: Except for the New Traits or Preliminary/Advanced New Breed classes, registration with TICA is not required. However, to be scored for TICA titles and regional/International awards, cats must be registered before their second show. Household Pet adults must be spayed or neutered. Declawed cats may compete in all classes. HEALTH: This is a non-vetted show. Any cat showing signs of illness, parasites (including fleas) or fungus will be escorted from the showhall, along with any cats owned, housed, transported or agented by the exhibitor. All entries should be vaccinated against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici and distemper (panleukopenia) at least two weeks prior to the show, and should test negative for feline leukemia and FIV ("feline AIDS"). Florida law requires any animal over the age of 4 months be vaccinated against rabies within the last 12 months (be prepared to show proof)! TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to benching. FOR SALE: Sales cages are available to exhibitors. TICA rules allow no more than two kittens or one cat benched in a single cage. No kitten under 3 months of age will be allowed in the showhall, and no kittens or cats may be confined to carriers or kept under benching cages during show hours. Florida requires health certificates accompany any animal sold in the state. If you are bringing cats or kittens to sell, Florida Sun Cats strongly advises you familiarize yourself with the applicable statutes, particularly Florida’s Pet Lemon Law, and takes no responsibility for your failure to do so. SUPPLIES: Cat litter will be available, but please bring your own litter pan! Each entry will be assigned a single cage, approx. 24" X 26" X 24". Grooming spaces measure approx. 24” x 52”. For the protection and safety of your cat and those around you, please bring suitable covering for sides, top and bottom of the cage. If you are bringing your own cage, you must pay for an even number of single benching spaces. CLERKS: Are indispensable! Ring clerks will be reimbursed one day's entry fee per day clerked, plus lunch, soft drinks and a marked catalog, not to mention our undying gratitude. Requests for specific judges will be on a first come, first served basis and are subject to change. Licensed TICA clerks will be given preference. Clerks and trainees will be given preferential benching if you sign up in advance! AWARDS: Rosettes will be awarded in accordance with TICA show rules. Top 3 Best of the Best will be presented in each category, based on TICA regional award scoring. Additional special awards may be presented. If you wish to sponsor a ring or any special awards, please contact the entry clerk.
