WELCOME To the Annual Mater Dei Dinner Auction For the benefit of Mater Dei Catholic High School Presented by Mater Dei Mothers and Friends March 24, 2012 Dear Friends of Mater Dei, I am pleased to welcome you to Mater Dei Catholic High School and to the 2012 Dinner Auction, “A Knight in the Orient”. Thank you for being with us this evening as we celebrate our annual Dinner Auction. This outstanding event has been the social and fund raising event of the year for the Mater Dei Community. This evening’s event is the result of many hours of planning and execution by a very dedicated group of Mater Dei supporters – the Auction Committee. This project is a year round task and I sincerely thank the parents, teachers, staff, students, alumni and friends who have helped make this evening a great success. The Mothers and Friends continued support for academic excellence is one of the great strengths of Mater Dei. Your contribution this evening helps Mater Dei continue to provide a quality education rooted in our Catholic tradition. Your presence and support are greatly appreciated. I hope that you enjoy the fine meal, the fun of the auction, the camaraderie with your friends, and the knowledge that you are supporting the students of Mater Dei Catholic High School. We hope you have a wonderful “Knight in the Orient.” May God bless and keep you, Dennis A Litteken, Principal Dear Friends of Mater Dei, Welcome to a "Knight in the Orient", Mothers and Friends' Annual Dinner Auction. This should be a special night filled with good food, good friends and an opportunity to give our school some much needed help. We want you to relax and have fun this evening. Your past support has helped Mater Dei succeed in its very important endeavor - to provide a Catholic education for young adults in Clinton County and surrounding areas. Your support tonight and in years to come will enable Mater Dei to continue providing a great education far into the future. The enormous support for the auction over the past 21 years has been truly amazing - it is evident that this community is dedicated to the future of our school. As Mater Dei completes its 57th year, we are even more aware of the importance that Catholic education provides. A Catholic education is first and foremost a formation in faith so that young people begin to see the world with the eyes of Christ and to love others with the heart of Christ and to serve others in the image of Christ. A Catholic education is intended to fashion young people into the very likeness of Christ Jesus, and teaches values for life. We would like to express our gratitude to all the parents, alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends who have so generously contributed time and talent, energy and enthusiasm to the success of the auction. Thank you to all the businesses and individuals that have donated in any way to this dinner auction. Please thank and patronize the businesses in appreciation for their generosity to Mater Dei Catholic High School. We are so glad that you have chosen to spend this important evening with the Mater Dei family. Have a wonderful time, and may God bless you for your generosity.
