Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution to the constitutional obligations: values, rights, duties and responsibilities of citizens College follows all national, international days, birth and death anniversary of legendary persons every year. Every year on 26th of November College celebrates the National Constitution Day. The students, teaching and non-teaching faculties gather together and take the mass oath we will obey the rules and acts of our constitution for maintaining peace, harmony in the society. We read the preamble of constitution to understand the rights, duties and responsibilities as a citizen of this nation. Apart from this college celebrates the birth and death ceremonies of different legends of our nation. 1. College celebrates Gandhi Jayanti as a Swachata Diwas. Guest lecture is organized on the Gandhian thoughts. 2. National constitution day is celebrated on 26th November to understand the duties and rights of citizens of India, to remember the efforts taken by the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and other members associated of constitution drafting committee. 3. On 14th April students pay the homage to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar by organising blood donation camp. 4. International Yoga Day is also Celebrated on 21st June of every year to spread awareness about the importance and effects of Yoga on health of people to maintain physical and mental health as well. Similarly the group of people from nearby area, students and staff comes in the college every morning to practice the Yoga. 5. Celebration of Independence and Republic day is done every year enthusiastically by students and staff of our college. About 85 students and teaching and non-teaching staff were present on this occasion. Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution Celebration of Kranti Din (8th August2016) August Kranti din (8th August 1942) was celebrated in the college to remember the freedom fighters. Dr. Jairam Khobragade, the principal of the college preside over the function.About 90 students and teachers namely, Dr. G. L. Waghamare, Shri. S. Kasarla and Shri. Kuril were present on this occasion. Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution ‘Andhashraddha Nirmulan’ Talkon 12 Aug 2016 Eradication of Blind Faith is essential for restricting the exploitation of people. In this regards, a program named as “Andhashraddha Nirmulan”was arranged in the college under the leadership of our college principal Dr. Jairam Khobragade. Eminent experts from different part of the Vidarbha region guided our students Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution International Peace day and NSS day 21 Sept 2016 The international peace day was celebrated in the college. It was organized by Mr. Kuril, the in - charge of NSS. Mr. Sarveshwar Kasarla and Dr. Waghmare were present on this occasion. About 75 students were there in the program. Cleanliness Program on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti2 oct. 2016 Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti were celebrated in our college on 2nd Oct.2016. On this occasion all staff members and about 50 students clean the college premises. Dr. G. L. Waghmare appreciates the students for their attitude towards cleanliness. Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution Science Day celebration 28 Feb 2017 The Science day was celebrated in our college on 28th February 2017. Science exhibition was organized in our college to develop the scientific attitude among the students. About 150 students participated in the celebration. Dr. Waghmare, the principal of the college addressed the students especially on the work of Dr. C. V. Raman Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution No Tobacco and alcohol Rally on 15 Dec. 2016 To build the nation towards progress no tobacco and no alcohol rally was organized in Gadchiroli city by our college. More than 130 students and teachers actively participated in the rally. Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution Kranti Din Celebration 8 Aug 2015 The NSS department of our college organized and celebrated „ Kranti Din‟ to remember our freedom fighters, on 8th August 2015. Dr. Ajit Deshmukh, Dr. Jairam Khobragade (Principal) and Mr. Prashant Ashtaputrey (NSS in charge) and about 90 students were present at the juncture. Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution Teachers Day celebration 5-sept.2015 Birth anniversary of our great leader Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was celebrated on 5th September 2015 in our college as a „Teachers Day‟. The principal and all teaching and non- teaching staff were present for the occasion. On that day our student played the role of teacher, student and administrator. This gives them a better understanding of teaching and learning process. About 200 students participated in the program. Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution Gandhi Jayanti Celebration of Gandhi Jayanti and Lalbahadur Shastri Jayanti was done by cleaning the college premises by our students, Principal and staff on 2nd October 2015. About 100 students gave their contribution towards the cleanliness. Sickle Cell Disease control Program 21 Feb 2017 In collaboration with Ekta samajik shikshan sanstha our college organized a wake up program “Sickle Cell Disease control”. Around 135 students of our college actively participated in the program. Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar 125th Jayanti celebration 125 Birth centenary year of Bharat Ranta Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was celebrated in our college from 19 January to 1 February 2016. Various programs and competitions were organized to highlight the work of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Debut competition, Essay competition, Elocutioncompetition, rare photographs exhibition, singing competition, Book exhibition and 18 hours reading “Upakram” programs were undertaken. Various famous personalities were invited for the program. They guided our students and highlight the greatness of Dr. Babsaheb Ambedkar. 200 participants were there. 18 hours reading Upakram Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution Rare photo exhibition Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution Marathi bhasha Din „Marathi bhasha Din‟ was celebrated as Birth anniversary of great Marathi poet „KUSUMAGRAJ‟ on 27thFebruary 2016. Dr. Vilas Khune, the professor of Marathi from Shivaji Mahavidhalaya Gadchiroli was the chief guest . He highlights Marathi literature and guided our students. Dr. Jairam Khobragade presides over the chair. About 100 students and staff members were present at the juncture. Legal Services program To give the exposure to our students towards the basic prime duties NSS organized a program in collaboration with Legal Services Authority, Gadchiroli on 24th September 2015. Hon‟ble Judge of Gadchiroli Shri. R. B. Rehpade was the chief guest. He introduced the prime duties of every citizen and guided about output towards the development of nation. Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution Science Day Celebration The Science day was celebrated in our college on 28th February 2016. Science exhibition was organized in our college to develop the scientific attitude among the students. About 200 students participated in the celebration. Dr. Mohan Wadekar, associate professor in Botany, Newjabai Hitarini College, Bramhapuri was the Chief Guest. World water Day: World water Day was celebrated in our college on 22nd March 2016. Various issues likewater harvesting, drinking water, water pollution and effect on human being were highlighted in the Program. Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution No smoking Program 10-07-2015 No smoking pledge program was held in our college on 10th July 2015. Dr. Jairam Khobragade, the Principal of the college and other staff member gave the oath to students regarding the same. Also, banners of action against such activity were displayed at the college gate. 50 students were present for the program Adult education activity executed by our students in Gadchiroli Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution .
