GGEORGIAEORGIA TTECHECH BBASKETBALLASKETBALL 2014-152014-15 Tech Ends Season With ACC Tournament Loss to Boston College Georgia Tech completed its fourth season under head coach Brian Gregory with a 66-65 loss to Bos- ton College in the opening round of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament in Greensboro, N.C. The Yellow Jackets fi nished the season with a 12-19 overall record and a 3-15 mark in conference play. After a strong performance in the non-conference season which saw the team go 9-3 against a schedule ranked among the top 30 most diffi cult in the nation, Tech struggled throughout the ACC sched- ule, dropping its fi rst seven games, winning three of the next seven, then fi nishing out the season with fi ve consecutive losses. FINAL SEASON WRAP-UP Among the Yellow Jackets’ highlights were an 80-73 season-opening win over Georgia, which fi n- ished the year in the NCAA Tournament, non-conference wins over Vanderbilt (which reached NIT quar- GEORGIA TECH YELLOW JACKETS terfi nals) and Rhode Island (reach the NIT round of 16), and a 70-50 win at 23rd-ranked Miami (reached the (12-19, 3-15 ACC) fi nal four of the NIT).
