Kohler, corporation president. Published as part of the Kohler plan to destroy unionism at its Wisconsin plant, the pamphlet includes a preface by Charles B. Sligh, Jr. of the National Association of Manufacturers, which warns that America must choose between "two classes of citizens, the aver- age citizen and the labor boss." The Kohler address wias delivered in February of this year to the Economic Club of Detroit. Kohler drew applause from the busi- ness moguls when he not only refused to answer a UAW charge that the corporation had "purchased weapons to use on strikers," but added that "anybody who tries to invade our plant is looking for trouble."? The UAW has called upon all U. S. labor members to boycott Kohler Company plumbing products. The Kobler boycott was given a unanimous vote of approval at the 1956 convention of the California State Federation of Labor held in Long Beach. The boycott has de- veloped from a strike against the corporation called in April of 1954 when the corporation broke off relationship with the union.
