DANNY SPOONER; Friday, June 29th; 7:30 PM ☺ Danny Spooner is about the best singer Australia has to offer in traditional song. Born in southern England, he went to sea (skipping school) at age 13, and was lucky enough to crew on a boat captained by the fine source singer Bob Roberts. Danny absorbed songs from all over, especially on the waterways around the East coast of Britain.
