The material was donated by volunteers over the years or collected by the Archive‘s staff. Material is continuously added to the collection as it is accrued. The material in this collection is not accessioned into the Museum‘s Permanent Collection, but was kept because of its informational value. The files are arranged alphabetically by topic and contain news clippings, magazine articles, some unpublished writings by various authors, pamphlets, calendars and other various informational materials. The subjects are varied but are mostly concentrated on the petroleum industry and people in the industry, local Midland and Odessa history, as well as county history for counties in the Permian Basin. ______________________________________________________________________________ Restrictions Restrictions regarding access Library and Archive materials must be used in the library reading room.
