A new lens retention test is required of prescription safety laboratories fabricating impact rated Safety Prescription Eyewear (SRX) to determine their ability to consistently produce lenses that will be retained in the various frame types they choose to sell. Safety Prescription frame manufacturers must also test their frames to this requirement. 5.
