I would like to draw your attention towards the traffic constables who man the roads, and often enough they do it very well. I have come to painfully understand that they do not have the authority to impose fine and collect fine on rule violators on the roads which is deeply unfortunate. Request you to make a provision where they are empowered to address the issue. With understaffed man-power and compromised level of exercising and enforcing law, it leaves us decades behind other states and nations at large. Let us also make a provision where they are supplied with water and timely snacks and have access to clean sanitation facilities, failing which occupational diseases are going to advance on them earlier than expected. I also place before you to direct all the officials to wear mask while guarding the roads, because air quality is increasingly getting poor and respiratory problems are destined to arise. I hope this will be taken up for speedy implementation.
