POULTRY, PIGEON & EGGS Competition Schedule 30 August - 8 September 2019 | theshow.com.au 2019 POULTRY, PIGEONS AND EGGS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ARRIVAL/DELIVERY, JUDGING AND DEPARTURE TIMES Poultry and Pigeons ARRIVAL - Exhibits must be penned between 10.00 am and 9.00 pm on Thursday 29 August. Exhibitors delivering exhibits may enter and exit via the Leader Street entrance. The Poultry & Pigeon Pavilion is situated on the first floor of the Stirling/Angas Hall, west of the Hamilton Boulevard and you will be required to bring your vehicle via the western ramp entry. The exhibits must be accompanied by computer printout entry details. No exhibits will be permitted inside the pavilion other than those which have been entered for competition. JUDGING - will commence at 8.00 am on Friday 30 August. The Society reserves the right to re-allocate breeds to judges after closing date depending on entry numbers. DEPARTURE - Between 6.00 pm and 10.00 pm Sunday 8 September (boxing from 5.00 pm) or Between 6.00 am and 10.30 am Monday 9 September When collecting exhibits, you must produce your Entry Details Return (computer pen number print out) and be accompanied by an official who will assist in checking out each exhibit. Sunday 8 September Departure Birds may be boxed from 5.00 pm. Departure on foot - Exhibitors will be permitted to leave on foot with their birds between 6pm and 8:30pm only. Vehicle collection – Exhibitors with many birds may bring a single vehicle onsite via the Leader Street gate to assist with collection between 8:30pm and 10pm only. • Birds must be boxed and ready for loading before the vehicle may enter the Showground. • Vehicles arriving prior to 8:30pm will not be permitted to enter. • Vehicle access will only be granted through the Leader Street gate once this area is cleared by Showground staff/Security. • Vehicles will then only be allowed to queue along the Western Boulevard and will be met by Showground staff/Security at a control point near the Dairy Food Hall. This checkpoint will only be open once staff have declared it is safe for the move out to proceed. Please co-operate with requests made by all staff during this period to ensure a safe and efficient process. Car parking may be available in Leader 1 Car Park from 5.00 pm on Sunday 8 September. Monday 9 September Departure • You will be required to leave your vehicle in the vicinity of the Pavilion while you box your birds. • All Poultry Exhibitors MUST ENTER the pavilion through the NORTH EASTERN GLASS DOORS and present their entry slips to a committee member located inside the building. An attendant or steward will be allocated to you to check out entries. Admission will be limited to the north eastern doors and this will be strictly enforced. • As soon as your birds are boxed you will be required to bring your vehicle via the western ramp entry to load your birds. • It is essential that you load your boxes without delay and leave the ramp immediately. • The Pavilion will close at 10.30 am. Sale birds not collected by 10.30 am will be disposed of by the Committee unless the Committee is advised in advance how the bird/s will be collected. Eggs ARRIVAL - Eggs must be displayed between 10am and 9pm on Thursday 29 August 2019. Exhibitors delivering eggs may enter and exit via the Leader Street entrance. The Egg Exhibition is situated on the first floor of the Stirling/Angas Hall, west of the Hamilton Boulevard. JUDGING - will commence at 8am Friday 30 August 2019. REMOVAL - Unless specifically requested, the Society will dispose of eggs after the Show.
