Transform it before starting your performance. Once assembled, the table should hide your props from the audience while providing easy access for you as you perform. CANDY FROM MAGIC DRAWER BOX Make candy magically appear! PROPS USED: Magic Drawer Box SUPPLIES NEEDED: Candy THE SECRET: Your audience doesn’t know there are really two drawers. That's your magical secret. SECRET SET-UP: Before you begin performing, practice using the magic drawer box with its two drawers. When you insert your finger into the secret hole on the bottom, you show drawer #1. Remove your finger and open drawer #2. Remember to hide candy in drawer #2.The handy pull tab helps open and close the boxes. SHOW: 1. Using the secret finger hole, open drawer #1 to show it’s EMPTY! 2. Close the box. 3. Open the box (without the finger hole) to show drawer #2... CANDY has magically appeared! 2. VANISHING TISSUE IN DRAWER BOX PROPS USED: Magic Drawer Box SUPPLIES NEEDED: Tissues SECRET SET-UP: Start with an empty magic drawer box. Just like in Candy From Magic Drawer Box, we are going to use the secret drawer #2 to hide the tissue. SHOW: 1. Open the box (without using the tab). Place some tissue inside then close the drawer box. 2. Say “Presto!” then open the drawer box (using the secret finger hole). It will look like the tissue has vanished. TIP: You can use a figurine, doll, scarves or whatever you think would be fun to make appear or disappear! 3. X-RAY COLOR VISION Use your x-ray vision to see which color spot is facing up inside a closed box. PROPS USED: Color Cube, Color Cube Box & Lid THE SECRET: You secretly move the lid to another side of the box to peek at the cube inside. Since the box is square, the audience can't see the lid has been moved. 1 2 SHOW: 1. Say, "I'm going to use my x-ray vision for this trick, but I need someone's help." Hand the color cube and the box and lid to someone in the audience. Turn your back to the audience. Ask the person to put the color cube in the box with the color of their choice facing up. Have the person show the audience the color that's facing up and then put the lid on. 5 2. While your back is turned, ask the person to place the closed box into your hands. Keep the box behind your back and turn to face the audience. While holding the box behind your back, remove the lid and place it on the side of the color cube (see FIGURES 1 & 2). 3. Now bring the box in front of you, keeping the open side facing you. Tell the person who is helping with the trick that you need help again. Say, "Think very hard of the color that's facing up." While saying this quickly glance at the open side to see the color facing you. 4. Put the box against your forehead with the open side facing you. Pretend to think hard for a moment. Then say the color. Your audience will be amazed! With your free hand, remove the lid and turn the open end of the box toward the audience so that they can see the color. 4. COIN THROUGH THE LID See a quarter slide through the lid of a box and land inside! PROPS USED: Clear Quarter Box & Lid, Double-Sided Tape, Playing Card (you can use one from the Mystery Deck) SUPPLIES NEEDED: 2 quarters THE SECRET: A second quarter is hidden on the underside of the lid. SECRET SETUP: Push a quarter up into the underside of the lid. It will stick there, hidden from view. See FIGURE 1. Close the box and have it ready on the table. Take the playing card and put a small piece of double-sided 1 tape in the center of one side of the card. The double-sided tape should be cut first, then peeled from its backing. Place the card on the table tape side down. Put a quarter on the table, too. SHOW: 1. Lift the lid of the box, holding it so the audience cannot see the hidden quarter inside. Show the audience that the plastic box is empty. 2. Put the lid back on the box. Pick up the quarter and show it to the audience. Put the quarter on top of the closed box. 2 3. Pick up the card, keeping the side with the tape facing you. Place it on top of the quarter on the lid. See FIGURE 2. 4. Say, “Watch the quarter go through the lid of the box!” Hold the box between your thumb and fingers with your pointer finger holding the card down against the lid. 5. Lift the card and box together a few inches. Then bring them down hard against the top of the table. At the same time, press down hard on the card in the center or tap it with your pointer finger. See FIGURE 3. The quarter hidden on the underside of the lid will drop into the box and the quarter on the lid will stick to the tape. 6. Remove the card keeping the side with the quarter hidden on it away from the audience. Lay it down on the table. Show the audience that there is nothing on top of the lid. Take the lid off and show the audience the quarter in the box. They’ll be amazed at your magical abilities! 5. CUPS & BALLS One by one, three balls magically pass through solid cups. PROPS USED: 3 Cups and 4 Fuzzy Balls.
